Her career began in 2000, after she won Vogue's annual Talent Contest and joined the magazine's editorial team. Writing and commissioning roles on Sunday Business' Business & Pleasure magazine and Night & Day magazine followed.
In 2003, Karyn won the Sunday Telegraph-sponsored Catherine Pakenham Award for young women journalists. She joined The Sunday Telegraph's newsroom, launched a high-profile campaign called 'Right To Fight Back', which aimed to rebalance the law in favour of burglary victims, and was promoted to health correspondent within a year.
Since she turned freelance in 2005, Karyn has specialised in reportage, colour writing, interviews and health. She has interviewed – and survived - one of America's top seduction gurus, discovered how boxing training transformed a gang-ravaged council estate, and broken a number of exclusive health and home news stories in the pages of The Sunday Telegraph. She reported from New Orleans and Houston on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. To view a selection of her work, please go to her Cuts page.
